Honey Dijon Vinaigrette
– 1/4 cup of purple loose strife honey
– 1/4 cup of vinagar or apple cider
– 2 tsp Dijon mustard (smooth or grainy)
Mix & shake & enjoy
From John’s honey kitchen
Arnprior
Cold – Health refreshment (good for immune system)
– 1″ cube fresh ginger roots
– 1 cinnamon stick (3″ or 4″)
– 12 cloves
– 7-8 spice berries
– 1 lemon (and grapefruit or limes or orange for variation)
– honey
– 3 l water
Grate ginger fine
Put in large pot with water, cinnamon stick, cloves and all spice berries
Boil 10 min
Cut 1/2 lemon into rings
Add to pot & simmer 10 min
Turn heat off
Other 1/2 lemon; sqeeze juice into pot and put this half into the pot
Add honey to taste
Cool & strain into containers
keep for 1 week in fridge
Drink hot or cold
Caughs, bronchite
– 1/2 oignon (or squished garlic)
– 1 tsp liquid honey
Cut in small pieces
Put in glass container or cup
Add 1 tsp liguid honey
Let stand for 1 hour
Ingest 1 tsp of thismixture
Do not eat for 1/2 hour after taking
